The Miramar City Council has obtained a subsidy of €3,237.58 from the Diputació de València to finance mosquito and fly vector control tasks in the municipality, as part of public health prevention and promotion efforts.

This aid contributes to surveillance, prevention, and treatment of mosquito breeding grounds, aiming to reduce their proliferation and protect citizen well-being. During the 2026 campaign, weekly inspections were carried out between April and September, with subsequent actions extending into later months.
The work focused on inspecting areas prone to stagnant water accumulation, such as drains, ditches, ravines, and other points within the municipal area, both in the urban center and the beach zone. Actions included larvicidal treatments and preventive measures, using selective biological products to target breeding sites.
According to the campaign's technical report, identified breeding sites were kept under control, with low breeding levels and satisfactory results. Through this subsidy, the Diputació de València supports municipal actions aimed at pest prevention and public health protection, helping to maintain adequate environmental conditions in Miramar.
