The Tavernes de la Valldigna City Council and the Red Cross have joined forces to organize an environmental awareness day focused on marine environment protection.

The activity, part of the European project "Intermares", aims to advance effective management of protected marine areas. An information point was set up on the beach for residents and tourists, featuring educational panels on native marine fauna and the importance of preserving ecosystems.
The Councilor for Public Services, José Enrique Cuñat, emphasized that "our beaches are a major attraction and a valuable natural space that we must protect." He highlighted citizen awareness as a fundamental tool for coastal conservation and more sustainable management.
The Red Cross's environmental awareness campaign will continue throughout the summer with new actions on Tavernes de la Valldigna's beach, promoting safety, sustainability, and respect for the environment.
