Renfe has initiated modernization and accessibility improvement works at Xeraco station, with an investment of 154,655 euros, to offer a more comfortable and functional environment.

The railway company Renfe has started modernization and accessibility improvement works at the Xeraco station. The objective is to enhance functionality, access facilities, and service quality, creating a more modern and comfortable environment for passengers. The project has a budget of 154,655 euros and is part of the 'a punt' plan.
The actions include a comprehensive improvement of access, modernization of the hall, renovation of facade elements and windows, and upgrading of the platforms. Handrails and handrails will be replaced, new lighting and grates will be installed, and a new ceiling will be added. The glass security barrier will also be reorganized to control access to the restrooms, and the deteriorated enclosure will be replaced.
The Xeraco station is part of the C1 Commuter Line of the Valencia Hub, serving approximately 69 trains daily that transport about 1,800 passengers.
These improvements are part of a broader plan that includes a total investment of 3.2 million euros for 15 commuter stations in the Valencia hub. Nationally, the total investment for 110 stations between 2026 and 2027 is 24.8 million euros. The cost of each intervention will range between 100,000 and 500,000 euros.
The 'a punt' plan aims to generate significant short-term improvements and enhance the perceived quality of service. The selection of interventions is based on passenger impact, urgency, technical complexity, and duration of the work, as well as the possibility of standardized execution.
Renfe has designed a specific logo to identify these improvement projects, enabling users to recognize the upgrade works being carried out to bring the facilities 'up to standard'.
