Oliva Celebrates the Transfer and Proclamation of the Festivities of Mare de Déu del Rebollet

The city of Oliva experienced the traditional transfer of its patron saint and the official proclamation that marks the beginning of its festivities last Saturday.

The city of Oliva celebrated last Saturday, August 29th, the traditional transfer and official proclamation of the festivities in honor of Mare de Déu del Rebollet, its patron saint.

The festive day began at 9 AM with the 'Albà', an event that started from the Plaza de la Iglesia de Santa María and paraded through the town's streets, accompanied musically by the Jesús de Natzaret Brass and Drum Band.
Later, at 10 PM, the Mare de Déu del Rebollet was transferred from its shrine to the Church of Santa María. Following this, the 'Salutació a la Verge' was performed by young Bruno Torres Codina, succeeded by the official proclamation of the festivities, delivered by Oriol Recasens Carreras.
The event was attended by the Councilor for Festivities of the Oliva City Council, Álvaro Sánchez, as well as various councilors and representatives from the municipal political groups.
