The Gandia City Council has launched a special operation to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees at the Pirata Beach Fest. The departments of Protection, Security and Coexistence, and Equality, Diversity and LGTBI are coordinating the actions.
This year, sentinel wristbands are being introduced, distributed free of charge at the Violet Points. These wristbands can quickly detect the potential presence of certain chemical substances in drinks, helping to prevent situations related to chemical submission.
The Local Police will also distribute reusable protective caps to prevent substances from being introduced into drinks without the user's awareness.
The operation includes security and traffic controls, and the Safe Route has been established, a monitored and illuminated path connecting the campsite area with the concert venue to facilitate safe travel.
The Violet Points will be operational in the campsite area and at the festival venue, offering information, support, and accompaniment. According to the Councilor for Equality, Diversity and LGTBI, Maribel Codina, these are support spaces for victims of sexist, racist, or LGTBI-phobic aggression.
