This encounter will serve as final preparation for CF Gandia before the start of the Liga Comunitat season, scheduled for September 5th and 6th, following their recent promotion. The day will have a special character, as beforehand, at 7:30 PM, the official presentation of the first team's squad for the new season will take place, allowing fans to meet the new signings and the players continuing under the technical direction of Alberto Gregori.
The Councilor for Sports, Jesús Naveiro, highlighted the trophy's long trajectory, reaching four decades, and encouraged citizens to support the team. "We are celebrating a new edition of a tournament with a long tradition. We want the fans to accompany CF Gandia, get to know the new squad, and continue supporting an entity that is regaining its place in Valencian football," he stated.
Naveiro also acknowledged the work of the CF Gandia board and confirmed the City Council's collaboration. "I want to congratulate you for the effort and the hours dedicated to the club. From the City Council, we will continue collaborating to help CF Gandia in whatever it needs," he assured.
Saturday's program will begin at 6:00 PM with the revived offering to the Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, an act that the current board has decided to reinstate due to its connection with the club's history and identity, as explained by vice-president Rafa Nogueroles.
After the offering and the squad presentation, the trophy match will take place. CF Gandia members will have free access, while general admission will cost 5 euros. The ticket offices will be open for renewals and new memberships.
The president of CF Gandia, Sergio González, expressed his gratitude to the council, sponsors, and fans.
