The city of Gandia is preparing to host the third edition of the Arena Beach handball tournament this Sunday, July 12, an event gathering more than 40 teams.

The competition, officially presented this week, will take place on four courts set up on the sand along the promenade. Matches will begin at 9:30 AM and continue throughout the day until the trophy ceremony, scheduled for the evening.
The tournament covers all categories, from under-10 to senior, in both men's and women's divisions. Organizers have highlighted their commitment to equality and the promotion of women's sports, ensuring representation at all levels of the competition.
Beyond the sporting aspect, the event serves as a boost for the city, attracting visitors and families who take the opportunity to enjoy the coast. Participants have described the sand area in Gandia as a prime location for practicing this discipline.
This competition also serves as preparation for upcoming national-level sporting events taking place soon in other locations.
