Gandia hosts the first children's fishing contest as part of the Municipal Sports Games

The competition will take place on August 2nd at the Escullera Nord to promote responsible fishing among young people.

The Club Esportiu de Pesca Gandia has announced its first children's fishing contest for August 2nd, as part of the 44th edition of the Municipal Sports Games.

This initiative aims to introduce sports fishing to children and youth aged 6 to 17. The event seeks to promote positive values such as coexistence, outdoor sports, and respect for the marine environment.
The competition will take place at the Escullera Nord of Gandia Beach. To facilitate access for all interested parties, registration is completely free. The organization has established four categories based on the participants' ages.
Regarding the schedule, the Benjamín category will compete from 08:00 to 11:00, while the Alevín, Infantil, and Juvenil categories will compete until 11:30. The draw for fishing spots will take place on July 31st at 20:00.
The organizing entity is collaborating with the company Vicky Foods, which will provide breakfast for all registered participants.
