Before the rainfall, thermometers marked very high values in several parts of the territory. In Miramar (la Safor), temperatures reached 40.4 °C, while in Pego (la Marina Alta), the reading was 39.5 °C. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), these figures placed several Valencian municipalities among the hottest in the country during the day.
The Valencian Association of Meteorology (Avamet) also confirmed high values in its network of observatories, highlighting 40 °C in Guadasséquies (la Vall d'Albaida) and readings close to 39 °C in towns such as Vilallonga or Oliva.
The change in weather, marked by storms and wet microbursts, meant that minimum temperatures did not occur at dawn, but during the afternoon. In Polinyà de Xúquer (la Ribera Baixa), the drop was particularly sharp, falling from 37.7 °C to 18.1 °C in a short period.
