The Daimús City Council, similar to Piles last week, has received numerous complaints from residents and tourists about the malfunctioning of beach showers. The council has stated that it "understands and shares the discontent" of users facing this situation.
In a public statement, the council clarifies that the installation, maintenance, repair, and management of these facilities are the responsibility of the Generalitat Valenciana, specifically Turisme Comunitat Valenciana. The council's role is limited to forwarding detected issues to the regional authorities for resolution.
In addition to usual breakdowns, Daimús City Council highlights "particular problems" such as exposed pipes due to storms, a dry well with the pump not working causing low water pressure during peak hours, poorly leveled showers, and the need to relocate some of them.
Therefore, the council "shares the citizens' discontent and demands a firm response from the competent administration to restore such a necessary service." They are confident that the situation will be resolved "as soon as possible," according to the statement released on social media.
