The Sueca City Council has started the repair and improvement of 10.27 kilometers of rural roads and forest tracks, thanks to a grant of €13,452.78 from the Generalitat Valenciana.

The works, which began yesterday, August 12, aim to improve the condition of the subsidized roads to facilitate their conservation, maintenance, and enhance forest fire prevention. The action involves the supply, spreading, and compaction of gravel.
The Municipal Agrarian Council of Sueca, through its Roads department, is carrying out the work with its own resources, including machinery and personnel. The roads included in the Local Forest Fire Prevention Plan to receive improvements are Joques, Esquerre de l’Albarzeret, Baix, Bassals, Albarzeret, and Alter dels Bassals.
The regional grant fully finances the eligible actions, without requiring any municipal financial contribution. The call for these grants aims to fund forest fire prevention and forest management actions outlined in municipal planning instruments.

"It is important to continue working on the network of rural roads and forest tracks in the municipality, both to improve their conservation and accessibility and to strengthen fire prevention and land management efforts."

Julián Sáez · Mayor of Sueca
The Mayor of Sueca, Julián Sáez, highlighted the importance of these actions, which allow Sueca to continue advancing in the maintenance of its rural roads and the improvement of infrastructure linked to the municipality's rural and forest environment.
