The twelfth edition of the Medusa Festival in Cullera has exceeded all expectations, drawing approximately 185,000 attendees over its four-day run. The organization has confirmed that the next edition, the 13th, will take place from August 12th to 16th, 2027, at the same venue.
Featuring 150 DJs and nine stages, the Valencian event has become Spain's largest and most crowded dance festival, reinforcing its status as a "leading electronic music landmark in Spain." Saturday saw the highest attendance in the festival's history, with 56,000 people in the venue simultaneously.
High temperatures and a severe storm on Saturday presented challenges for the event's progression. To combat the heat, the organization provided 350 fresh water points and free drinking water. The storm, which delayed the opening of the gates from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, caused damage to several tarpaulins, but the event resumed at dusk without further issues.
One of the disappointments for attendees was the cancellation of the show by headliner Carl Cox due to flight issues. The British DJ announced the cancellation on social media, apologizing and promising a future date in Cullera.
Additionally, organizers have announced a new venture: a winter edition in Madrid on December 5th, titled "Blizzard: La Ciudad del Hielo," to be held in one of Ifema's pavilions.
