The Valencia Provincial Council has approved 60% of the Open Plan funds, exceeding 200 million euros, with 30% of municipal projects already awarded.

The Open Plan of the Valencia Provincial Council is progressing as expected by the Cooperation area, led by vice-president Natàlia Enguix. 60% of the funds have been approved, surpassing 200 million euros out of the 350 million total for the investment program, and 30% of projects have been awarded by municipalities and consortiums.
According to Enguix, it is logical for the number of initiatives proposed by municipalities to increase as the legislature progresses, given it is a four-year plan. Enguix notes that over 100 million euros are allocated this year to respond to requests.
President Vicent Mompó echoes the vice-president's encouragement for towns and cities with pending funds to submit their projects. The objective is to execute "every last euro of the 350 million budgeted, a historic figure," according to provincial officials. The progress of the investment program can be tracked in real-time on the portal [www.plaobert.dival.es](http://www.plaobert.dival.es/), detailing fund usage by municipality and statistical data.
Cofrentes and Albuixech were the first to award 100% of their allocated resources, approximately 1.3 million euros each. Cofrentes invested in extending Júcar-Cabriel Avenue and Vereda Street, improving connectivity with a redevelopment project. Albuixech used its provincial aid for the rehabilitation of its municipal swimming pool.
The Open Plan website has been updated with new statistical data, including a list of the award percentage for each local entity. Besides the mentioned municipalities, Petrés, Montserrat, Jalance, and Benagéber exceed 90% in awards. Ontinyent, with 2.5 million euros awarded (88.8% of its allocation), is the leading municipality among those with over 20,000 inhabitants.
Vice-president Enguix explained that the plan's four-year nature allows for "legislature projects with more ambitious budgets, or various smaller but equally important actions to improve the quality of life" in the towns. Montserrat, for instance, has seven approved initiatives with an allocation of 1,745,000 euros and 93.4% awarded, including new changing rooms for the football field, rural road repaving, and modernization of its day center.
Municipalities such as Terrateig, Fuenterrobles, and Riola show award percentages below 2%. Provincial officials emphasize that there is still time to submit initiatives and offer their guidance and support.
