The Provincial Council of Castellón has enabled the Penyeta Roja center to host residents evacuated due to the forest fire declared in Vall d’Uixó. This extraordinary measure aims to guarantee the protection and safety of individuals displaced from their homes.
The president of the Provincial Council, Marta Barrachina, emphasized that the residents' accommodation is guaranteed at this center. The measure particularly affects those who had been temporarily housed in hotels and now require a more stable lodging solution due to existing tourist bookings.
The Penyeta Roja center is equipped with 75 beds featuring air conditioning and fans, prepared for this emergency situation. "We are making this space available to all citizens who need it, equipped with the amenities they deserve," stated Barrachina, expressing hope that the catastrophe will end "promptly".
