The Castellón City Council has opened the bidding period for the comprehensive management of the Senior Center for Active Life and Health, known as CEA Castelló, with a budget of 1,475,264.73 euros (VAT included) for a 31-month term.

Interested companies can submit their offers until September 4th. The service, provided in a municipal building located at Antonio Maura street, number 4, is designed as a meeting space to promote active aging, social participation, and personal development for seniors, enhancing their autonomy.
To access the center and participate in activities, users must reside in the municipality, be 60 years or older, and have functional autonomy. Individuals between 55 and 59 may be admitted if places are available, with priority given to pensioners and the unemployed.
The awarded company will be required to provide 60 weekly hours of physiotherapy, 25 hours of psychological counseling, 25 hours of social intervention, 8 hours of podiatry, as well as a daily hairdressing service and a cafeteria/dining area.
Activities will be divided into two main blocks: ongoing activities (2,700 annual hours) during the academic year, and sporadic activities (80 annual hours) as free one-off workshops.
The professional staff will include a full-time psychologist/director, an administrator, a receptionist covering opening hours, a part-time maintenance assistant, and cleaning assistants, in addition to professionals for specific therapies.
The CEA Castelló will have extended weekly hours, including weekend openings, except on specific holidays like December 24th and 31st, and January 5th, when it will close at 2:00 PM.
