Interested companies have until August 28 to submit their offers. The contract will cover all installations and urbanized areas of the Riu Sec Campus, as well as any new buildings or extensions made during its validity.
The awarded firm will be responsible for maintaining the medium-voltage network, transformation centers, low-voltage installations, generator sets, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, street lighting, vehicle charging posts, and photovoltaic solar plants.
Regarding automatic fire detection and alarm systems, the contract includes portable fire extinguishers, automatic extinguishing systems, gas detection systems in laboratories and boiler rooms, as well as detectors, pushbuttons, sirens, and other associated elements.
To carry out these tasks, the contractor must provide a qualified team with at least 5 years of experience, including an engineer, a general manager, managers for electrical and fire prevention installations, an electrician specialist in audiovisuals, an administrator, and eleven electricians.
The Universitat Jaume I has a built area of 248,904.32 m², primarily on the Riu Sec campus (248,160.51 m²). The university has a contracted capacity of 4,500 kW in medium voltage and a total installed capacity of 28,291 kW, with systems such as solar panels, generator sets, and capacitor banks.
