Civil Guard agents specializing in fires have visited a property on Andrés Montalva street in Alberic to clarify the causes of the incident. The fire claimed the life of a resident, and investigators have been examining the living room to determine the origin and spread of the flames.
Currently, no hypothesis is being ruled out regarding whether the fire was accidental, due to negligence, or intentional. Consulted sources indicate that the victim tried to extinguish the flames with all available means, even as neighbors were being evacuated.

The resident, identified as Vicente, inhaled a large amount of smoke while attempting to put out the fire. Despite the efforts of firefighters and paramedics, they could not save his life.
The mayor of Alberic, Toño Carratalà, has lamented the death and expressed concern for the condition of other affected individuals. In the morning, he visited the building with a technician to assess if residents could return to their homes. A neighbor, Antonia, explained that the property was still hot and that soot had spread throughout the building.
