The Valencian Government and the Ministry of Equality have co-funded the September Vacation Playroom in Algemesí, an initiative that has successfully concluded, facilitating work-life balance for nearly 100 families.

The first edition of the September Vacation Playroom in Algemesí, promoted by the Algemesí City Council, has ended with positive results. From September 1st to 7th, nearly 100 families benefited from this new free resource designed to help with family and work-life balance.
This program specifically focused on the needs of families during the first week of September, when many parents have returned to work but educational centers have not yet started the academic year. Selection criteria prioritized families with working parents and those with dependents.
The high demand exceeded initial expectations, leading to a waiting list. Consequently, the City Council decided to expand the number of available spots to accommodate as many applications as possible, ensuring all registered individuals could access the service.
The playroom, aimed at children registered in Algemesí born between 2014 and 2022, provided a space for play, fun, and various activities, allowing them to discover and learn more about their city before the new school year began.

"This new initiative is primarily designed for families who need to balance work with childcare during days that are particularly challenging for work-life balance. The response has been very positive, and thanks to the expansion of places, we were able to accommodate all registered participants."

Quini Giner · Councillor for Social Welfare, Family, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunities

"Facilitating work-life balance means providing resources to families when they truly need them. At the same time, the youngest children have had a space to play, have fun, and continue discovering their city before starting the new school year."

José Javier Sanchis · Mayor of Algemesí
This initiative is part of the measures promoted by the Algemesí City Council to facilitate the balance between family and professional life.
