The project included the installation of a new children's play area with rubber flooring and the repair of existing equipment. Additionally, a climate island has been implemented to provide shade, fountains and bins have been renewed, and general accessibility to the site has been improved.
The works also addressed pavement repairs, which had been damaged by tree roots, and the entire square's floor was repainted. Furthermore, the futsal field previously located in this area has been relocated to the Youth Park, situated in the Regaixo zone.
This intervention involved an investment of 105,409 euros. Funding was provided through a direct grant from the Ministry of Youth and Children, aimed at supporting basic services for children and adolescents as a response measure to the damage caused by the DANA.
