Over eighteen months, the 36 participants were employed while acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge in three professional specializations: masonry, artisanal pottery, and microcomputing systems. The primary goal was to enhance their qualifications and experience to facilitate their subsequent integration into the regular job market.
The closing ceremony, held at the Tetuan XIV Municipal Training Center, was attended by the Councilor for Employment, Juan Carlos Redondo, alongside representatives from LABORA and staff from the Local Development Agency. The councilor emphasized the importance of prioritizing groups facing greater employment obstacles in public job programs.
The program received a total grant of 848,077.20 euros. Municipal information does not specify how this amount was allocated among participant salaries, teaching staff, materials, or other training expenses. According to Redondo, the program's effectiveness will be measured by the participants' subsequent job placement, a result yet to be determined, for which the City Council has not provided follow-up data or results from previous editions.
The initiative was developed in collaboration with LABORA, an autonomous body that participated in the closing ceremony through Ricardo Sancho Olves, Head of the Training Section of the Territorial Service. Redondo thanked the teaching and technical staff involved and announced the municipality's intention to continue promoting similar programs.
