Robberies on agricultural and livestock holdings in the Valencian Community saw a 23.5% reduction in Castellón during 2025, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior analyzed by La Unió Llauradora.

In the province of Castellón, reported incidents dropped from 221 in 2024 to 169 last year. However, the agricultural organization warns of a 17.6% decrease in the resolution of these crimes, with 28 robberies solved in 2025 compared to 34 the previous year.
At the regional level, robberies and thefts on holdings decreased by 29.6%, from 1,333 cases in 2024 to 938 in 2025. The resolution rate for these crimes fell by 35%, from 327 to 213, meaning just over two out of every ten reported robberies were solved.
The province of Valencia accounts for the largest volume, with 610 robberies in 2025 (-30.7%), but solved cases dropped by 38.6% (from 215 to 132). Alicante recorded 159 robberies (-31.4%), and solved cases fell by 32% (from 78 to 53).
La Unió emphasizes that these figures only include reported incidents, and the actual incidence could be higher due to the bureaucratic burden that discourages some farmers and ranchers from reporting thefts.
The organization believes it is necessary to increase investigation resources and calls for strengthening the Guardia Civil's ROCA teams and improving police coordination to better protect agricultural and livestock holdings.
