The municipal initiative will focus on preventing heart conditions and fostering active lifestyles. A significant part of the program will involve free medical check-ups with electrocardiograms for athletes from local clubs, especially children, including those for whom these tests are not mandatory.
To enhance safety in sports facilities, training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of defibrillators will be offered. This training will be aimed at coaches, technicians, and managers, equipping them with basic knowledge to act in emergencies.
The week will also feature a talk on sports psychology, designed to provide families with useful tools to manage the various situations that arise during their children's sports practice.
Activities will kick off on September 23rd in the Plaza Mayor with a free blood pressure check open to all citizens, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Subsequently, on September 25th, the indoor swimming pool will offer free Pilates and aquatic maintenance sessions.
Through these check-ups and activities, the program aims to reduce cardiovascular risk factors and promote safe sports practice among Alzira's residents.
