On August 27th, representatives from the local Anti-Cancer Board and the company Choví visited the Summer Camp organized by the Association against Cancer of Valencia in Benifaió, marking the end of the 'Sponsor a Teddy Bear' campaign.
The initiative, presented in May 2025 and coordinated by the Local Board against Cancer of Benifaió, with sponsorship from Choví and collaboration from the Benifaió City Council and the Association against Cancer of Valencia, has allowed for sponsorships in exchange for a solidarity economic donation.
The sponsored teddy bears have been delivered to children fighting cancer at the La Fe University Hospital of Valencia and at the summer camp, with the aim of "transmitting a message of encouragement, support, enthusiasm, and hope during this very difficult phase," as indicated by the Local Board against Cancer of Benifaió.
Furthermore, both the children who received the teddy bear and those who sponsored them are participating in a raffle for a trip to Eurodisney.
The campaign has been very well received by the residents of Benifaió, demonstrating great solidarity and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. The organization states they have received the most sincere gratitude from the children and their families.
The Local Board against Cancer thanks all the participating individuals, the sponsoring company, and the collaborators, highlighting that the initiative has provided an "injection of enthusiasm, encouragement, and hope," as well as raising funds for the fight against childhood cancer.
