The Local Police of Algemesí has organized a free training day for professionals, focusing on mobility cards for people with reduced mobility (PMR) and police action procedures.

The main objective of the session was to equip professionals with tools to identify potential fraudulent uses of PMR cards, thereby improving police response and ensuring priority access to parking for those who truly need it. The training covers current regulations, various action procedures, and the detection of irregularities.
This initiative is part of the Algemesí City Council's strategy to promote continuous training and specialization of its officers. During the day, legislation, real-life scenarios, practical examples, and related jurisprudence were analyzed, including mobility and inclusion cards.
Special attention was given to parking cards for people with reduced mobility from the Valencian Community and France, with practical examples to deepen understanding of identification and verification procedures.
The training was led by Francisco Javier Grau Zahonero, an officer from the Alzira Local Police and a specialized lecturer in the field, with extensive professional and academic experience.
“

"Continuous training is fundamental so that our officers have the necessary knowledge to act with judgment in increasingly specific situations. In the case of PMR cards, detecting fraudulent use is not just a matter of control, but a way to protect people who truly need these spaces and whose mobility may be limited when someone makes improper use of them."

Kiko Reinoso · Councilor for Citizen Security and Mobility
Councilor Kiko Reinoso highlighted the importance of this training to ensure correct action and protect the rights of people with reduced mobility, also promoting the exchange of knowledge among professionals for more accessible and respectful mobility.
The free training day combines education, prevention, and police specialization to ensure the correct application of regulations.
