The Utiel City Council and the IES Alameda have formalized an agreement to develop the Shared Classroom Program (PAC) during the 2026-2027 school year, aiming to reduce absenteeism and early school leaving among secondary students.

The agreement, signed by the mayor of Utiel, Ricardo Gabaldón Gabaldón, and the director of IES Alameda, Jorge Fuentes Miguel, aims to provide socio-educational support to 2nd-year ESO students facing adaptation difficulties or social vulnerability.
IES Alameda will be responsible for pedagogical supervision, student selection, and coordination with families and technical teams. The program includes practical workshops on social skills and professional initiation.
The Utiel City Council will provide specialized professionals to lead workshops every Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00. It will also make municipal spaces available, such as the municipal workshop, youth center, and sports facilities, along with the necessary materials.
To ensure effectiveness, a monthly Monitoring Committee will be established with representatives from both entities to analyze student progress and propose continuous improvements.
Through this initiative, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to quality, inclusive public education connected to the local environment, offering real tools to foster the personal, social, and pre-vocational development of the municipality's youth.
