The Queen of the Fair and Festivals, Marta Pérez, along with the Mayor of Utiel, Ricardo Gabaldón, and the Councillor for Agriculture, Aitor Iniesta, presided over the awards ceremony for the 68th Grape Competition. Members of the municipal corporation also attended the event, which welcomes the grape harvest season.
This edition featured around twenty entries of the best grapes from the tempranillo, macabeo, and bobal varieties grown within the municipality. The mayor and the councillor highlighted the competition's long history, underscoring Utiel's significant wine-growing roots as an economic driver and the sector's continuous efforts to progress.

The awards were distributed among the different varieties presented. In the Tempranillo category, the first prize went to MARÍA TABERNERO RUIZ with a weight of 1.512 kg, followed by DIEGO PLATERO OLIVARES (1.460 kg) and Daniel Lozano Perabá (1.267 kg). For Macabeo, the first prize was awarded to SANTIAGO GONZÁLEZ PÉREZ with 2.413 kg, while SANTIAGO GONZÁLEZ LATORRE secured the second (2.272 kg) and third prizes (2.196 kg). Lastly, in the Bobal variety, RUBÉN MEDINA BALLESTEROS took first prize (2.570 kg), ahead of JOSE MIGUEL VERDÚ LATORRE (2.517 kg) and VEGA ANTOLINOS HERNÁNDEZ (2.044 kg).
