The decision responds to the activation of Level 3 pre-emergency for extreme forest fire risk in the interior of Valencia province, coupled with a orange level alert for high temperatures in the northern interior.
As a result of the high-risk situation, several local measures have been agreed upon. These include the closure of the Alameda park and a ban on making fires in various recreational areas such as El Remedio, Estenas (Carrasca and Piscina), Polideportivo Municipal, Fuentecillas, Torre de Utiel (piscina), and Los Corrales. Special emphasis is placed on prohibiting fires in the tent area for the Utiel Fair and Festivals and in the hostels.
Additionally, a ten-point plan of recommendations for citizens has been developed, addressing both the high temperature warning and the extreme fire risk. The Utiel City Council calls for citizen responsibility, emphasizing that everyone's collaboration is vital to protect the environment and ensure the safety of the municipalities.
