Requena receives €128,000 for forest management and fire prevention

The Requena City Council will receive €128,290.77 from the Provincial Council of Valencia for forest management and fire prevention during the 2024 fiscal year.

The Provincial Council of Valencia has approved a grant of €128,290.77 for the Requena City Council. These funds, under expediente 273/24/MAM, will be distributed among various actions planned until October 31, 2026.
The aid will be divided into two main areas. The first, B1: Forest Fire Prevention Works, will receive €76,974.46. These funds will be used for the opening of firebreaks (REQ-AC-30.02.24, REQ-AC-30.02.25, and REQ-AC-30.02.26) and for the maintenance and improvement of a section of the forest track REQ-VI-1.045.01.
The second area, B2: Forest Fire Prevention Investments under the Sustainable Forest Management Plan 2024, will have €51,316.31. These investments include the supply of tools, machinery, and forest accessories necessary for the management and protection of the forests.
