The UNED Onda campus will host a face-to-face event on October 5th, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, to introduce the institution. The event will showcase the academic offerings, key services, and resources available to both students and the general public.
The general operation of UNED's distance learning will be explained, with a special focus on the organization of in-person and online tutorials, as well as the tools and resources for tracking subjects. Practical information will also be provided to help new students integrate into the academic year, and the classroom's tutor staff will be introduced.
The event also aims to familiarize attendees with the facilities and project of the UNED Onda Classroom, alongside the planned Extension University activities and courses for the academic year. The initiative seeks to bring UNED's educational offerings closer to the community.
Speakers include Carmina Ballester, Mayor of Onda; Vicent Bou, Councilor for Innovation of the Onda City Council; María Ojeda, Councilor for Education of the Onda City Council; Victoria Branchadell Capdevila, educator; Inma Cabedo Andreu, secretary of the UNED Associated Center of Vila-real; Raúl Ferrando Aznar, technological manager of the UNED Associated Center of Vila-real; and Alejandro Ribes Ferrer, pedagogue and educational counselor.
The activity is open to the general public interested in UNED's academic offerings, as well as enrolled students and tutors. No prior qualification is required to attend.
The main objectives of the event are to introduce the UNED Onda Classroom and its offerings, present the center's operations and tutorials, facilitate student onboarding, introduce the faculty and support services, and publicize the Extension University program, fostering connections among all stakeholders.
