The course, conducted entirely online, focuses on the educational response that schools should provide to students with high abilities. Strategies for personalized learning will be explored, including the whole-school enrichment model, as well as measures such as acceleration or grouping.
Tuition fees can be refunded exceptionally before the course begins, solely in cases of duly justified and accredited force majeure, such as serious illness, hospitalization, accident, or the death of a close family member. The request must be communicated before the start and accompanied by the relevant proof. Once the course has started, no refunds will be issued.
The program includes modules on theoretical models of high abilities, student identification and assessment, emotional and social development, enrichment models, acceleration, grouping, and personalized learning. The role of family and school will also be addressed.
Speakers include David García Pérez, a tutor-professor at UNED Vila-real, and Marta Tourón Porto, a Doctor of Education and researcher in high abilities at UNIR. The course is aimed at teachers, counselors, management teams, special education specialists, inspectors, university students, and families interested in the subject.
The training will take place from October 13 to December 15, 2026, from 18:00 to 21:00 h. Attendance is online, either live or deferred. To complete the course and receive the certificate, participants must fill out an online questionnaire and submit a final intervention proposal project.
