The 2026-2027 sports season in Villarreal will provide a total of 14,000 places distributed among member subscriptions, group fitness classes, local leagues, and the School Multi-Sport program. The City Council has confirmed that prices will remain unchanged from previous seasons and that registration periods will open in September.
The offering is broken down into approximately 8,000 places for members, 3,000 for group classes, and an additional 3,000 for local leagues and School Multi-Sport. The new program includes 111 groups across 31 quarterly activities, with options for all ages, from infants to seniors.
The Councilor for Sports, Xus Madrigal, and the head of the SME, Eva Salvador, have presented the 2026-2027 Sports Guide, detailing activities, fees, and registration dates. Membership fees will range from 50 euros for the junior option to 217 euros for families, with an individual option at 136 euros. The other two membership types do not yet have detailed pricing.
Reservations for group classes will be made through Deporsite, a platform that will include the full season information and booking system by the end of September.
One of the notable novelties for the upcoming season is the expansion of functional training groups for seniors. These sessions, focused on strength, mobility, and fitness maintenance, respond to a growing demand among the older population, according to municipal sources.
Councilor Madrigal emphasized the City Council's goal of adapting the sports offering to user needs, ensuring accessibility for various age groups.
The program is rounded out by local football, basketball, and futsal leagues, which will hold competitions throughout the year. The School Multi-Sport program, aimed at educational centers, will continue with matches and events on Saturdays.
For School Multi-Sport, a new online registration system will be implemented, allowing families to complete registrations and check schedules by school and category. The deadline to sign up for this program will be September 18th.
The registration calendar varies depending on whether individuals are new or existing participants. Current users can renew or modify their activities and membership conditions between August 25th and September 4th, with automatic renewal for direct debit payments. New registrations will open from September 7th to 14th. If demand exceeds available places, a lottery will be held on September 16th. New member sign-ups can be processed starting September 23rd.
