The town of Vila-real celebrated the festival of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of drivers and transport workers, this Saturday with a parade that brought together nearly forty vehicles through the municipality.

The day, organized by the city's transport collective with the collaboration of the City Council, served to recognize the work of these professionals. Before the start of the route, several councilors presented the attendees with a city flag to display on their vehicles during the procession.
The procession was led by a Public Services vehicle carrying the image of the saint. The route ended at the Termet parking area, where the traditional blessing of the trucks and other participating vehicles took place, followed by a mass.
The local government highlighted the importance of this commemoration for community spirit and support for a sector fundamental to the local economy. The event served to showcase the daily work carried out by the transport professionals of Vila-real.
