The incident occurred during the release of the last animal of the afternoon, belonging to the Javier Domingo Tárrega livestock farm. According to several neighbors present at the venue, the cow reached the councilwoman while she was between the bars of a cadafal.
Given the tension of the moment, a bullfighting fan rushed to assist the councilwoman to try to pull the animal away. During the action, the neighbor also received a slight blow, although, like the councilwoman, he did not suffer serious consequences.
After the charge, the medical services present at the venue immediately attended to the councilwoman. As a result of the event, the bullfighting acts scheduled for this Monday afternoon were concluded.
Benicàssim is currently celebrating its patron saint festivities in honor of Santo Tomás, which began last Friday, September 18, and will continue until next Sunday, September 27.
