The unions have reported that the regional administration has refused to pay these fees, arguing that the officers already received provisions during the day. Conversely, the Emergency department has stated that payments will be made once the detailed list of police officers and services provided is submitted.
According to the submitted document, the officers were commissioned urgently and worked especially long shifts, averaging thirteen hours a day. The unions argue that the operation took place under exceptional circumstances, with high temperatures and high physical demands, which justifies the right to receive the corresponding compensation.
Meanwhile, the PSPV has registered a proposal in Les Corts to urge the Consell to review the denials of per diems. The initiative requests that each case be examined individually, taking into account the assigned schedule and the actual extent of the provisions supplied during the emergency.
