Onda City Council has launched an agricultural brigade made up of thirteen workers to carry out cleaning and conditioning tasks on rural roads during the months of July and August.

The project has a budget of over 63,000 euros, most of which comes from a SEPE grant. The main objective of this initiative is to improve accessibility to agricultural holdings and strengthen safety in the forest environment in the face of fire risk during the summer campaign.
The team is made up of twelve laborers and one agricultural officer, who will work full-time until August 31st. Their duties focus on the removal of dry vegetation and brush from the edges of the roads, complementing the maintenance work that the council carries out throughout the year with its own machinery.
This brigade is integrated into the municipal fire prevention strategy, coordinating with the Environment Unit (UMA) of the Local Police. The special device includes the surveillance of natural spaces and urban-forest interface areas, with the support of drones to facilitate the early detection of any incident.
