The project's main goal is to optimize the water drainage system to prevent flooding in the northern area of Grao, covering both the urban center and the surrounding rustic land. The intervention was carried out by the company Facsa.
The facility has been equipped with three submersible centrifugal pumps with a combined capacity of 1,100 liters per second. The system is fully automated and allows real-time control of rainfall and canal levels, in addition to incorporating alarms for possible failures or intrusions.
To ensure service continuity during power outages, solar panels and a soundproof generator have been installed. Likewise, a diesel tank with a capacity of 3,000 liters has been enabled, ensuring the plant's autonomy during episodes of heavy rain.
“"A very important and necessary work has been done, since the large capacity of the three pumps will minimize water accumulation problems in various roads in the north of the beach's urban area."
This action is part of a broader municipal plan to strengthen the water drainage network. Along these lines, a new pump has also been installed at the Satse station, located about 500 meters away, to improve drainage on Serratelles road. The total investment in both projects is approximately 900,000 euros.
