Moncofa Celebrates 'Moncofa al Carrer' Festival with Music, Theater, and Cinema

The municipality hosts a week of free cultural activities in its public spaces from August 23rd to 29th.

Moncofa is preparing to host the new edition of the 'Moncofa al Carrer' (MAC) festival from August 23rd to 29th, offering a full week of free cultural activities.

For seven days, the municipality will transform into a vibrant stage with a diverse program including concerts, street performances, theater, circus, and film screenings. Activities will be mainly distributed between Na Violant Square, Mare Nostrum Avenue, and the skating rink.
The opening will take place on Sunday, August 23rd, at 11:00 PM in Na Violant Square with the concert by Rafa M. Guillén & The Jazz Walkers. The following day, Monday the 24th, at 8:30 PM, Mare Nostrum Avenue will be the starting point for the show ‘La Fam Quimera’.
On Tuesday the 25th, starting at 8:00 PM, Mare Nostrum Avenue will once again be the departure point for the show by Cia Sin Fin Greis. On Wednesday the 26th, the skating rink will host ‘Eirene’ by La Troupe Malabó at 8:00 PM.
The film offering will begin on Wednesday the 26th at 10:15 PM in Na Violant Square with the screening of ‘Cómo entrenar a tu dragón’. The second film session will be on Thursday the 27th, also at 10:15 PM in Na Violant Square, with ‘Un sueño posible’.
On Thursday the 27th, the skating rink will host Don Bartulos, by Civi Civiac, at 8:00 PM. On Friday the 28th, the company Kanbahiota will bring the show ‘Volando vengo’ to the same rink at 8:00 PM.
The festival will conclude on Saturday, August 29th, at 11:00 PM in Na Violant Square with the concert ‘In Vivo: Tributo a Il Divo’, a tribute to the well-known group.
The Councilor for Culture, Ilenia Begnozzi, highlighted that the objective of MAC is to bring diverse cultural proposals to residents and visitors, using public spaces as stages. The program, designed for different ages, combines music, theater, circus, animation, and cinema for enjoying summer nights.
