Tax Agency Collects 781 Million in Castellón, 16% More

The increase in tax collection in the province surpasses the state average and most autonomous communities.

The Tax Agency has recorded a collection of 780.99 million euros in Castellón during the first half of 2026, representing a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.

The province of Castellón has experienced a significant rise in tax collection during the first half of 2026, reaching 780.99 million euros. This 16% increase surpasses the state average of 10.4% and also that of most autonomous communities. Only Extremadura (18.1%), Galicia (18.3%), and the autonomous city of Melilla (46.1%) recorded higher improvements. The Valencian Community as a whole grew by 2.8%, with Valencia contributing 4.7% and Alicante showing a negative result of -5.4%.
Regarding the breakdown of the main taxes, Personal Income Tax (IRPF) contributed 431.37 million euros, with a 15.2% increase. VAT saw an even more notable improvement, with 247.44 million euros collected, up 19.5%, a figure considerably higher than the 8.4% advance at the state level.
In contrast, Corporate Tax generated 81.15 million euros, with a rise of 12.5%. This increase falls far short of the 80.2% improvement recorded at the state level for this tax.
