The III Magic Festival held at Plaza José Iturbi in Burriana filled yesterday afternoon with fantasy and surprises, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated events for families within the 2026 Misericordia Festivities program. The younger attendees enjoyed performances by magicians Perete, Iván, and Pinchito, who transported them to a world of fantasy with their tricks and illusions.
Due to weather incidents, the children's program has undergone modifications. The Children's bull run with the release of toy bulls, suspended due to rain, has been postponed to this afternoon, September 10th, starting at 10:00 PM. Additionally, the children's bull-taming workshop and the Maraya Xiqui exhibition have been moved to next Saturday, September 12th, at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM respectively, in the plaza del Pla. These initiatives are sponsored by the Burriana City Council and supported by the Federation of Bullfighting of Burriana.
The festive agenda will continue with a musical bingo on Friday, September 11th, at 6:30 PM in the Plaza José Iturbi. On Saturday the 12th, calle Mayor will host a children's bullfighting drawing contest and a flag workshop, organized by the Federation of Bullfighting of Burriana and the council. On Sunday the 13th, Pedro Navarro will direct a multidisciplinary show with music, dance, and equestrian art, which will be broadcast on giant screens.
To conclude the children's activities, on Saturday, September 20th, at 6:30 PM, the traditional Flower Battle will take place, along with participatory dynamics and a performance by the orchestra La Flama. The Councilor for Festivities, Paloma Boix, highlighted that the program aims to offer an unforgettable experience focused on local culture and traditions, with a special emphasis on children as protagonists of the festivities.
