The Consell has announced an injection of 67 million euros to address the recovery following the fire in la Vall d'Uixó. Of this amount, 12 million will be allocated to direct aid, 5 million will go to affected municipalities, and an additional 50 million will be made available through subsidized loans.
President Juanfran Pérez Llorca has indicated that the subsidies will be granted "urgently and without red tape." Applications will open on August 10th, with a three-month period to assess the extent of the damages.
For destroyed primary residences, aid will be 20,000 euros, with 15,000 euros for structural damage and 6,000 for non-structural damage. Additionally, 3,000 euros per person are foreseen for belongings and essential goods. For secondary residences, the figures are 10,000 euros for destruction, 7,500 for structural damage, and 3,000 for non-structural damage, with 1,500 euros per person for belongings. Monthly rent subsidies of 800 euros for relocation will also be provided, capped at 14 months.
Regarding vehicles, 2,000 euros will be granted for the loss of a private car or utility vehicle, 2,500 euros for vehicles adapted for people with disabilities, and 750 euros for private motorcycles. For vehicles linked to economic activities, aid will reach up to 15,000 euros, and up to 8,000 euros for vehicles used in agricultural or livestock operations.
In the business sector, affected self-employed individuals and small retailers can receive up to 1,000 euros. A one-time payment of 360 euros per worker affected by an ERTE (temporary layoff scheme) due to the fire is contemplated. For companies and industries, a specific guarantee line from the Institut Valencià de Finances (IVF) will be activated, endowed with 50 million euros.
Livestock, poultry, and beekeeping farms will receive 15,000 euros, plus aid for each lost head of cattle. Agricultural holdings will receive 6,000 euros per hectare for irrigated land, 4,000 per hectare for dry land, and 1,500 euros for agricultural equipment. For forest land, aid will be 1,000 euros per hectare with an approved forest management plan and 500 euros per hectare without one.
Affected municipalities, including la Vall d’Uixó, Betxí, Onda, la Vilavella, Artana, Eslida, Aín, Alcudia de Veo, Tales, Alfondeguilla, Nules, and Chóvar, will each receive 200,000 euros for urgent infrastructure works such as lighting or water systems, with the possibility of an increase.
