In Castellón, the fire in La Vall d'Uixó, which started on Saturday, remains uncontrolled with a perimeter of 82 kilometers. A "critical night" is expected to assess its evolution, although the count of burned hectares has been reduced to 9,300.
In Tornavacas (Cáceres), a forest fire with two active fronts has broken out in a high mountain area. Ground and air resources from the Infoex plan are working on its extinction, including forest firefighter units, natural environment agents, technicians, helicopters, and planes.
In Fermoselle, the improved situation allows for the consideration of reopening closed roads. The head of the Territorial Service of Environment, Mariano Rodríguez, has indicated this possibility if the evolution is positive.
In La Vall d'Uixó, after seven days of fighting, approximately 70% of the perimeter has been consolidated, although the fire is not yet stabilized. The burned hectares have been revised to 9,600.
Extinction resources from Bosnia, Turkey, and Serbia have joined the operation in Fermoselle, which has already ravaged at least 11,000 hectares and entered the canyon of the Duero river. Two Turkish extinction planes are also in operation.

A contingent of 79 personnel from Qatar, specialized in fighting forest fires, has arrived at Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) to assist in Castilla y León. The deployment is expected to reach 130 personnel.
