The municipality of Burriana hosted approximately 140,000 attendees during the Arenal Sound 2026 Festival. Data from the Local Police indicate improvements in safety and order, with a widespread reduction in key incident indicators.
The emergency dispatch center received 737 calls, an 11.4% decrease from 2025. Direct interventions related to the festival dropped from 109 to 96, a 12% reduction. No reports were filed for traffic safety offenses.
Other operational areas also saw significant reductions. Municipal towing services decreased by 44.9% (70 interventions), with a 49.15% drop in vehicle impoundments. This confirms the effectiveness of parking management, which provided over 22,000 parking spaces.
Road accidents fell by 30%, and noise complaints decreased by 29.4%, with no reports originating from the concert venue or the rest area. On-site medical assistance by officers also declined by 16.6%.
Burriana's mayor, Jorge Monferrer, positively assessed the preventive operation, highlighting "harmonious coexistence" and congratulating the emergency personnel for their "professionalism, dedication, and rapid response capability".
Monferrer also thanked the citizens for their "civility and coexistence," emphasizing the city's "welcoming" character.
