The Burriana City Council has held the Local Security Board to define a comprehensive emergency deployment that will ensure citizen safety during the Misericordia Festivals, taking place from September 4th to 13th.

The meeting included members of the government team, representatives from the Government Sub-delegation, and commanders from the Civil Guard, Local Police of Burriana, and Regional Police. The main objective was to establish an integrated security plan to protect both residents and visitors.
The security deployment will particularly reinforce bullfighting events, including the 'encierros' (bull runs), as well as other planned children's activities and new proposals. Attention will be paid to surveillance in the maritime area and compliance with the closing times of local clubs ('peñas').

"The commitment, experience, and valuable work of the Local Police of Burriana, who will collaborate closely with private security services and other security forces present in our city, such as the Generalitat Police and the Civil Guard."

Jorge Monferrer · Mayor of Burriana and Head of Citizen Security

"Civility, respect, and neighborhood collaboration from the start of the festivities until the closing with the traditional Flower Battle."

Paloma Boix · Councillor for Festivals
The Councillor for Festivals, Paloma Boix, called for civility and neighborhood collaboration during the festivities honoring the patron saint.
