The bullfighting program in the capital of Plana Baixa will include a total of 19 wild bulls from renowned national breeds. In addition to the bull runs and heifer exhibitions, events such as 'bous embolats' (bulls with horns set alight) will take place.
The opening day featured the exhibition of Matayeguas, sponsored by the City Council. Saturday's program includes the participation of Pasajista, by Carmen Valiente (L’Alternativa fan club), and Perdido-S, by Murteira Grave (Penya de Penyes), as well as the 'bou embolat' of Floristo, from Mollalta, with municipal sponsorship.
On Sunday, September 6th, attendees can see Tomatillo, from Adolfo Martín (El Bou); Chicharito, from Torrestrella (El Tercio); and Pringoso, from Marqués de Albaserrada (El Bou). The night will conclude with the 'bou embolat' of Cuarentón, from José Escolar (El Tercio).
One of the highlights will be Monday, September 7th, with the release of Tutor, a bull from Garcigrande, sponsored by the City Council to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bull Commission.
After a break on Tuesday, events will resume on Wednesday the 9th with Frondoso, from Arcadio Albarrán (Va de bous), and Enemigo, from Los Lastrones (La Finquita). On Thursday the 10th, it will be Pequeño, from La Espuela (Dones del Bou), and Servidito, from El Pilar (Jóvens de la Misericordia). Friday the 11th will feature Corazinegro, from Alejandro Vázquez (Jóvens del bou); Odor, from Montes de Oca (Les Bourrianeres); and the 'bou embolat' Bravecito, from Victoriano del Río (City Council).
The closing of the bullfighting lineup will take place on Saturday, September 12th, with Cubero, from Ana Romero (Els Braus); Sillero, from Peñajara (City Council); and the final night 'bou embolat' by Herrero, from the El Torero ranch (City Council).
