The municipal plenary of Almenara has given unanimous green light to a budget modification that will allocate 160,000 euros to two priority areas for the local government. Of this amount, 60,000 euros will go towards improving parks and children's areas, while the remaining 100,000 euros will be earmarked for actions on rural roads.
This decision, supported by all municipal groups, addresses identified needs in children's leisure spaces and the municipality's rural road network. The modification was made possible by the previous year's treasury surplus and the flexibility of spending rules, allowing investment in projects deemed financially sustainable.
“"Este acuerdo nos permite seguir mejorando servicios e infraestructuras importantes para el día a día de nuestros vecinos y vecinas. Hemos priorizado dos actuaciones que considerábamos necesarias."
The Mayor of Almenara, Estíbaliz Pérez, highlighted the importance of this agreement for the continuous improvement of municipal services and infrastructure, emphasizing the prioritization of necessary actions for citizens. Pérez also thanked all municipal groups for their unanimous support for a proposal considered beneficial for Almenara.
