The mayor of Castelló, Begoña Carrasco, visited the "Castelló en Bricks" exhibition, a recreation of iconic city buildings with LEGO pieces, as part of the 775th Anniversary events.

The mayor of Castelló, Begoña Carrasco, accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, María España, visited the "Castelló en Bricks" exhibition at the Museum of Ethnology. This display is part of the events organized to commemorate the 775th Anniversary of the City of Castelló.
The exhibition features scale models of over a dozen emblematic buildings in Castelló, including the hermitage of La Magdalena, El Fadrí, the City Hall, the Central Market, the Real Casino Antiguo, La Llotja del Cànem, the Co-Cathedral of Santa María, Plaza Santa Clara, Calle Mayor, and the Skyfi Castalia Stadium. More than 380,000 LEGO pieces were used to meticulously construct these buildings and urban spaces.
The author and driving force behind the exhibition, Severino Fernández, from the company "Sevebricks", accompanied the authorities. Fernández explained that the construction of the miniatures began in 2020, during the pandemic, and that some pieces had to be sectioned to improve their stability.
Begoña Carrasco highlighted that the exhibition offers an original way to engage with the buildings and spaces most cherished by the people of Castelló, fostering pride in the city. She emphasized the exhibition's success, with over 300 visitors in its first two days, particularly among children, and thanked Fernández for his dedication.
The mayor invited citizens to visit "Castelló en Bricks" until September 28th, noting it as a fun opportunity to rediscover the city's history and heritage through the LEGO creations.
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is closed on Mondays.
