Castelló's Councilor for Sports, Maica Hurtado, along with her team from the Municipal Sports Board, held a meeting with Respira Comunicación, the company responsible for the races' communication. The objective was to discuss preparations for the bp Castelló Marathon and the 10K FACSA Castelló, taking place on Sunday, February 14th.
During the meeting, various work areas were detailed, and progress was made in coordinating the support the City Council will provide for both sporting events. The councilor highlighted the importance of these events, which each year surpass expectations and place Castelló at the forefront of international athletics.
Hurtado emphasized that "the bp Castelló Marathon and the 10K FACSA Castelló are two events that improve each year, break records, and position Castelló at the center of world athletics. Their international projection reinforces our city as a sports capital and demonstrates our capacity to host major sporting events."
The councilor also stressed the organizational effort: "Behind each edition lies enormous work in organization and coordination. From the City Council, we continue to work alongside the organization so that both races continue to grow and to offer the best experience to athletes and visitors alike."
Both events, organized by the Running Castelló Athletics Club in collaboration with the Municipal Sports Board, are significant fixtures in the city's sports calendar. Their organization requires the involvement of various municipal teams and services, covering aspects such as logistics, sports planning, and support for the organization's needs.
