Tomorrow, Thursday, October 15, free bone densitometry tests will be conducted in the multipurpose room of the Hogar del Pensionista, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This test helps assess bone mineral density and contributes to the early detection of bone health issues.
The program continues on Friday, October 16, at 10:00 AM, with the placement of the pink ribbon on the City Council facade. This symbolic gesture represents institutional commitment to breast cancer awareness and support for affected individuals.
The Councilor for Health, Marisa Cortés, has encouraged citizens to participate in the activities, highlighting the importance of social involvement in raising awareness about this disease. She also expressed her gratitude to Anémona Marina Baixa for their ongoing work in the region, offering support to women with breast and gynecological cancer.
One of the central events will be the solidarity march this Sunday, October 18, in Benidorm. The gathering will be at 9:30 AM in the Plaza de SS. MM. los Reyes de España, with the march starting at 10:00 AM.
The L'Alfàs del Pi City Council and the Association Anémona Marina Baixa have maintained a collaboration agreement for years. The Health Department allocates 3,000 euros to the association, which provides counseling and psychological support to patients and their families. Anémona Marina Baixa was founded in 2002 to offer help to women affected by breast cancer and their families, promoting improvements in quality of life.
