The Generalitat Valenciana, through the Conselleria de Sanitat, has expanded the flu vaccination campaign to the entire population, facilitating access to immunization at the Health Center of L'Alfàs del Pi starting this Thursday, November 5th.

The Department of Health of the L'Alfàs del Pi City Council reports that any person interested in getting vaccinated against the flu can go to the town's Health Center starting this Thursday, November 5th, without needing to book a prior appointment. Vaccination will take place during the hours established by the health center.
Until now, the campaign had been developed progressively, prioritizing at-risk groups such as the elderly, chronically ill patients, pregnant women, and other especially vulnerable groups. With this expansion, vaccination is now open to all citizens.
The Department of Health encourages the population to take advantage of this opportunity, reminding them that vaccination not only protects individual health but also helps care for those around them, especially those at higher risk of complications.
The Conselleria de Sanitat reminds that getting vaccinated is a simple gesture that helps reduce infections and prevent serious complications and hospitalizations, thus being a measure of individual and collective responsibility.
This year's campaign slogan is ‘Let excuses not decide for you’, with a message specifically aimed at those who believe they don't need vaccination because they are healthy. Health authorities insist that prevention is important for everyone and that immunization is another healthy habit.
The Conselleria has acquired over 1,200,000 doses of the flu vaccine and over 715,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Flu vaccination is recommended for people aged 60 and over, children aged 6 to 71 months, pregnant women, and individuals with certain risk conditions. Regarding COVID-19, the strategy is particularly aimed at people at higher risk of severe illness, including those aged 70 and over, institutionalized individuals, and those with certain immunosuppressive conditions.
