The 4th International Pura Vida Well-being Congress successfully concluded in L'Alfàs del Pi, following an intense program that kicked off on Friday with a day of practical workshops. These sessions, designed as spaces for applied training, brought together a large number of industry professionals and sports enthusiasts interested in updating their knowledge.
Friday's program offered four proposals focused on different areas of health and movement. Specialist José Vidal led the workshop ‘Strength Training for Older Adults’, focusing on the safe application of exercise to improve autonomy and quality of life for the elderly. In parallel, Sherezade Soriano directed the workshop ‘Barre Fit. SEA Method’, which combined strength training with postural control and mobility.
The training was completed with the workshop ‘Pregnancy and Proprioception’, led by Belén García, which addressed movement, trunk control, and exercise adaptation to the specific needs of gestation. The session ‘Hybrid Training’ by Santi Liébana was also held, presenting a combination of strength and resistance for overall performance and health.
The organization and the Health Department of the L'Alfàs del Pi City Council have highlighted the excellent reception of the workshops, which marked the start of a weekend dedicated to well-being, prevention, and quality of life. The congress continued on Saturday with keynote lectures and on Sunday with the traditional route to the Faro de l’Albir.
